January marks the turning of a page to a New Year. During our Annual Kickoff on Saturday, January 25th, at Navy Golf Course in Cypress, we will unveil this year’s theme – Growing in Hope. 

Here’s what it means for the Dove Family: Throughout the year, we’ll explore ‘BIG’ questions like: What is hope? How does the Bible define it differently from today’s culture? Why is hope significant? How does hope shape our daily lives as Christ-followers? And how can we sustain hope amidst life’s uncertainties?

Let’s consider what the Bible Says About Hope

  • Hope builds anticipation. As followers of Christ, we can look forward to salvation and eternal life with confidence. This hope is not wishful thinking but a certainty rooted in God’s promises. ‘For in this hope we were saved.' — Romans 8:24

  • Hope produces fruit.  God gives each of us an abundance of gifts to enrich our lives and those around us. ‘The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.’ Galatians 5:22-2

  • Hope builds character. In a world where anxiety and depression are on the rise, Jesus remains our unwavering hope. Even in difficult seasons, our faith can grow stronger. ‘Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.’ Romans 12:12

  • Hope inspires love. When we trust God to take care of us, we are freed to love selflessly, reflecting His care and provision in our relationships.

As we embark on this New Year, let’s embrace the hope God offers, allowing it to inspire fresh habits, joyful experiences, and meaningful growth.
